Desiderantes enacts a reflection on the spatial and temporal field of forces that moves the individual toward desire itself: a continuous movement in which the here-and-now is necessarily a there-and-not-yet.

Desire is bound up with absence, yet there are desires that do not need lack in order to arise and sustain themselves. The desire that leads a human being to step onto a stage is one of these: it simply exists, and in its existing it does not belong to the subject, but passes through them, making a creative act possible. A force that inhabits the performer but does not belong to them. A vocation.

A group of desiderantes will engage with the theme of desire through a multimedia approach (which uses and integrates different techniques and tools). A desiring machine whose aim is not the production of meanings to be understood, but to be recognized—because desire does not speak the language of the self; it communicates in a foreign language that must be continually renegotiated and deciphered.
