CUGINƏ
CUGINƏ it is a collective artistic residency founded in 2024, involving artists from various fields in a process of co-habitation and co-creation, closely connected with the local community. The aim of the residency is to make artistic practice accessible and engaging for a community that is not familiar with the performing arts.
A group of artists lives at Poggi San Siro, in Ceva (CN), in the hills of Piedmont, inhabiting the space during the week preceding the patron saint’s festival—the only time of the year when the local population grows.

Since 2025, we have partnered with Proteo to involve a group of vulnerable people from a residential recovery community in the project’s activities. In 2026, we aim to erase the distance between those who perform, those who live in the area, and those who come to watch. We come together, co-design, and create collectively.
With the invaluable support of the Odetto family, especially Donato Odetto.This project is dedicated to Grandma Pierina and to all my cousins, with whom I first learned to walk barefoot and play cops and robbers to the rhythm of the church bells.
SECOND EDITION
PUBLIC PROGRAMME
August 8, 7:00 PM – Funerale all’Italiana by Benedetta Parisi, a performance selected through a co-design process with the local community.
August 9, 7:00 PM – Esercizi per Scomparire by Amalia Franco, a site-specific performance set in a woodland area of the hamlet.
Throughout August 8 and 9, Francesca Lombardi and Alice Strazzi will facilitate audience discussions and mediation sessions before and after the performances.
August 15
6:00 PM – Dopo Ferragosto non è più estate, first part of the residency’s final site-specific performance.
9:00 PM – Second part of Dopo Ferragosto non è più estate in San Rocco Square.
10:00 PM – Gran Passato, a concert by I Moderni.
August 16 – As part of the Feast of San Rocco, Lucia Fusina and Cascina all’Inverso will lead stilt-walking workshops and street animation, primarily aimed at the younger members of the community.

🏕️ Camping: On August 15, a camping area (grass field + water point) will be available. Please bring everything you need for the night.
🍽️ Join us for a shared dinner!
👉 Staying overnight? Make sure to bring enough food and drinking water, as there are no bars or shops nearby.
