I’VE LOSS OF ATTENTION

Attention is created, shifted, lost, given, received, stolen: it is dynamic, and our bodies are its containers. Attention and distraction coexist, defining one another, since attention becomes perceptible only at the moment it is interrupted—a temporary balance in which certain variables settle, allowing stability to prevail over change.

Through an investigation of perception, we explore the attention of the performer on stage and that of the audience, challenging and fragmenting it, only to summon it back. We propose practices that become pretexts for physical and visual composition, in which the very movement of the audience’s gaze across the stage is transformed into a choreographic element.
